Yes money can be an issue cant it, it is for me. I hope you will be able to manage to pay, even if it is in installments, thats how i pay for my course.

You get free personal therapy with your course? Wow I am so envious!

Does this mean I shouldn't train as a counselor because I've strayed a little too far along the spectrum of mental illness? I find it shocking how a counsellor can sit with his/her client and be genuine and congruent when s/he feels deep down inside that 'those' people [mentally ill/unstable] are n...

Hello Mand

Have you asked children charities yet? I am not sure but I would think that they could always use people. Or get you in touch with organisations that need counsellor. Children's hospitals, special needs schools, foster care ?

Yes and I am all for it! It is frightening how someone with such little self awareness and unboundaried behaviour can be called counsellor. And to be honest it shows the profession in a terrible light.

a few weeks ago I met up with a peer from our last counselling course. He has now qualified but is still working in an agency.
